Woodlands Freestyle Summer Day Camp At Roswell Community Church

Woodlands Freestyle is a day camp program for elementary age kids on site at local churches. For years, campers have packed up their bags and come to Woodlands; This summer, RCC has invited Woodlands to pack up their camp and bring it to you! Will we have everything you need to have the most epic, incredible, and unforgettable week of your life!

Who can attend: Completed K-5th Grades.

Daily Camp Schedule

8:00am - Check-In
Campers start arriving and spending time with their counselor.

9:00am - Quiet Time
Campers dive into God’s word for themselves, with direction from their counselors.

9:30am - Chapel
The BEST part of the day! Campers gather for worship as well as hearing a message from our speaker.

10:05am - Cabin Devotions
Campers break down the message with their counselor as well as talk about other truths. This is a wonderful time of discipleship.

10:20am - Snack                                                                                                  Campers enjoy a delicious snack with their cabin to fuel up before the morning game.

10:45am - Game Time!
This is a large group game that the entire camp plays at one time!

11:15am - Free Time Rotations!
Cabins of campers rotate through 2 free time activities having the time of their lives!

12:30pm - Lunch
Don’t forget to bring your sack lunch from home!
1:00pm - Scripture Memory Time
We take some time to memorize God’s word and get out of the sun.

1:25pm - Rest and Get Ready                                                                              Campers have the chance to rest up and get ready before an afternoon full of fun and games.

1:45pm - Game Time!
We have worked hard to create unique, fun, unforgettable games that are tailored for each age group.

2:15pm - Free Time Rotations!
Two more free time activities for added fun in the afternoon.

3:15pm - Clean Up!                                                                                             Campers and counselors collect all their items and get ready for pickup and the closing rally.

3:30pm - Closing Rally
One last challenge before the day is over to soak in some fun as campers and counselors reflect on their day and ask some hard questions.

4:00pm - Pick-Up
Time to go home!

FAQ's

1. Is lunch provided?
No, campers will need to pack a school-safe lunch for each day of camp.
 
2. Should I bring a swimsuit?
Yes! Campers will have water activities every day, except Friday. To cut down on changing time, we recommend arriving in a swimsuit. Be sure to bring some dry clothes to change into afterward.
 
3. Is my camper ready for Freestyle?
While ultimately the decision to send your camper to camp is up to you, Freestyle is a great “first camp” experience. If you are concerned about your camper being ready for a week away, Freestyle is a great option. They will get the same unforgettable experiences while sleeping at home and remaining in the comfort of their own community.
 
4. How is medical care handled during Freestyle?
Freestyle campers should leave medications at home. Woodlands’ staff does not distribute any medications to Freestyle campers. Woodlands does not provide medical staff or medical care at Freestyle Synergy sites. We encourage each Freestyle Synergy site to provide their own nurse or medical staff for the week to oversee any specific medical needs of the campers. In the event of an emergency, emergency services will be notified immediately.
 
5. Can my parents or guardian visit camp? 
Yes! We have a family event on Friday, the last day of the week of camp, at 3:15 pm. The whole family is welcome to attend and catch a glimpse of Freestyle!
