Gospel Generosity

The treasure spoken of in the New Testament is invisible and often intangible – yet it is more real than any treasure we may have on the earth. This doesn’t mean that Christians have loads of money – some do; some don’t. And there doesn’t appear to be any correlation in the New Testament between how faithful a person was and the size of their bank roll. In fact, anyone looking to make the claim that God wants us to be rich in earthly treasure has to try to explain an early church movement filled with poor martyred Christians, let alone a homeless Messiah (Luke 9.58). But as a people who have been made abundantly rich through Jesus, we long to reflect the generosity of Jesus in giving back to God from the things he has given to us.

One of the ways we do this is through giving to God’s work at Roswell Community Church. We believe that giving that brings glory to God is worshipful, not transactional; cheerful, not obligatory. For those who call Roswell Community “home,” we invite you to give a portion of your income to the church as an obedient and joyful response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If you’d like to give to Roswell Community there are two options.

1. We collect an offering during Communion at our Sunday worship service.
2. You can give through Online Banking. If you’d like to set up an account with your online bank to give that way, this is the information you’ll need.

The Apostle Paul

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.”
