One Body. Many Members.
Much like the nation of Israel in the wilderness, we have to take our tabernacle with us. Since we meet in the cafeteria of a private school, a team of dedicated members show up early each Sunday and set up chairs, put out signs and welcome mats, stock the children’s classrooms, and make hot coffee. And afterwards, we make it look as if we were never there, so our gracious host can start right on Monday morning. There are dozens of children, from babies to fifth graders, who eagerly look forward to the teaching and love that youth and adult provide in our children’s program.
All of these people are volunteers, and we ask that all who call Roswell Community their “family” take a turn (usually six months, one Sunday a month) to give our folks a place to sit, something warm to drink, and tell our children that Jesus is the best friend they will ever have.
